Many health records in the tribal areas of India are either not available to medical practitioners because they are not maintained or have been lost. The Gram Health Locket program is a pilot program developed by Keshav Srushti, an NGO working in these tribal belts.
The health volunteers from Keshav Srushti create the records with basic health information.
Using global standards of security, privacy and consent, these are then digitised.
A unique, secure token is then created by the program.
It gets embedded in a simple, low-cost wearable that is designed with ethnic considerations.

Incorporating these unique design elements into health wearables can not only enhance their visual appeal, but also provide a deeper connection to the wearer's cultural heritage and identity. With this context, local tribal sensibilities were kept in mind while developing the designs.
