Conviction Architecture™:
finding the break point is the model
BrandCare's Strategic Diagnostic Model for Healthcare Brands.
Where does conviction begin to weaken in the Conviction Chain™? Why? That's the start of a communication brief. Everything else is good-to-know.
Model: Conviction Architecture™
Diagnostic: Conviction Breakpoint
Introduced in: ACh, Vol. I
01Name the links
Name the four links for your case. (Treatment necessity needs no name — it's a judgement about the disease.)
The condition, in the population that matters. Trust = “this is present and worth
attending to here.”
The approach. Trust = “this kind of drug is the right route.”
The specific molecule. Trust = “this one clears the bar.”
This maker's version. Trust = “this brand, not the generic or a rival.”
The fifth link — treatment necessity — is the quiet one most briefs skip: a
physician can recognise the disease and still choose watchful waiting. It sits in the chain below, between
disease and class.
02State your conviction
Fill the audience, then tap the link in the chain where belief breaks. Tap the prescription at the end if belief holds the whole way.

Belief flows left to right. Tap the first link it can't cross.
03How sure are you?
Say verified if prescription, sales, or other syndicated data or research confirms it. Say asserted if one or two internal data sources confirm it. Say assumed if it's your gut instinct.
Verified
Prescription, sales, or other syndicated data or research confirms the breakpoint.
Asserted
One or two internal data sources confirm it — not yet syndicated or independent.
Assumed
Gut instinct. The team's working belief, not yet checked against any data.
Draft brief
On what this is. Conviction Architecture™, the Conviction Chain™ and the Conviction
Breakpoint are BrandCare's proprietary framework, introduced for discussion in ACh, Vol. I. This instrument
is
a
thinking tool for brand teams. Everything you enter stays in your browser.
On the draft brief. The brief this instrument writes is a starting scaffold, not a
finished document. It puts your own links into a testable shape — situation, hypothesis, ask — so the
strategist
begins from a clear question, not a blank page.
On “verified.” A breakpoint earns the verified tag only when interview findings are
triangulated against real prescribing or dispensing data. Stated belief and revealed behaviour do not always
agree — the gap between them is often the brief.
